An investigation at a Greenville Road apartment early Friday morning led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man for marijuana trafficking.
Hopkinsville Police were investigating potential domestic violence after officers were called to interview a woman in the Jennie Stuart Medical Center emergency room. That led police to an 1848 Greenville Road address, where officers would execute a search warrant after smelling an odor of marijuana coming from the apartment.
An incident report says police found a large plastic bags containing marijuana residue and pieces of marijuana were found inside the toilet bowl. A digital scale was also located in the home.
The occupant who initially tried to flee out the back door, 23-year old Jacorien Ray of Hopkinsville, was arrested for trafficking in marijuana and tampering with physical evidence. He was also served with a warrant for contempt of court.
