Local grand jury issues indictments for endangerment, drug related crimes

A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for drug trafficking, wanton endangerment and assault related crimes on Friday, April 12.

Kashana Miller, 33 years old of Oak Grove, was indicted on charges for drug trafficking after she was arrested in February when Hopkinsville police officers conducted a traffic stop on her vehicle and found her to reportedly be in possession of synthetic drugs and marijuana. Miller was indicted on charges of trafficking in synthetic drugs, trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

 Christina Brison, 39 years old of Hopkinsville, was also indicted on charges of drug trafficking after local officers conducted a traffic stop on her vehicle and found her to reportedly be in possession of methamphetamine. Brison was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, giving an officer false identifying information and not having her rear license plate illuminated.

Gabriel Brewington, 19years old of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges related to a shooting incident in February where he reportedly fired a gun in city limits. Brewington was indicted on five first-degree counts of wanton endangerment.

Cory Mckie, 25 years old of Oak Grove, was indicted on charges related to an alleged assault incident that occurred in February. He was indicted on charges of first-degree strangulation, first-degree criminal mischief, using restricted ammunition during a felony with no shots fired and fourth-degree assault domestic violence.

Marissa Joy, 35 years old of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges related to a burglary incident in February where she reportedly entered a residence without permission and struck the occupant. Joy was indicted on charges of third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree assault.

Laotis Buckley, 26 years old of Hopkinsville was indicted on charges related to an alleged fleeing incident that occurred in January. Buckley was indicted on charges of first-degree fleeing or evading police, tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license and speeding.
