Details have been released on the two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon at Pembroke Road and the Bypass that injured three people.
The collision report from Hopkinsville police says 33-year old Dadrion Richardson of Pembroke was westbound on Pembroke Road and failed to stop at a red light at the Bypass. He told police he became distracted talking to a passenger and didn’t have enough time to stop when he slammed on his brakes.
His car collided with a northbound vehicle on the Bypass driven by 17-year old Lauren Clayton of Guthrie.
Richardson and his passenger, 50-year old Audrey Hollowell of Pembroke, were both taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Clayton was treated at the scene by EMS, but refused a trip to the hospital.
