While it may have been moved back in the year, the Christian County Animal Shelter Spayghetti Dinner and Live Auction is now set to take place on September 14.
This will be the sixth annual dinner and live auction and Animal Shelter Director Irene Grace says she is awed and humbled that it has grown the way it has. Appearing on WHOP recently, Grace says the routine will be the same as previous years, with dinner starting at 4 p.m. at the James Bruce Convention Center and the auction beginning at 6 p.m.
She says along with the live auction, there will also be a buy it now table and a silent auction that night.
There are a slew of items available this year, and they can be viewed at the shelter’s Facebook page or by liking the Spayghetti Dinner Facebook event. Grace says the money raised goes toward their Get-‘Em-Done program, which focuses on spaying and neutering pets before they are adopted to hopefully help cut down on animal overpopulation.
Grace invited everyone to attend and enjoy the festivities on September 14. There are multiple locations where tickets can be purchased in advance at the Christian County Animal Shelter, Skyline Animal Clinic, Pet Lodge, Southern States Cooperative, Westuck Veterinary Hospital and Toyota of Hopkinsville. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
