For the third time in three days, multiple rounds of severe thunderstorms plowed across western Kentucky Sunday afternoon.
A person was struck by lightning on the main campus of Murray State University near White College. The individual, who is not a student, was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment, according to the Murray State News.
The same line of storms brought severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings to Trigg, Christian and Todd counties, but local emergency managers did not report any major damage or injuries. It remained a busy weekend for Pennyrile Electric crews, who had to go back out and work to restore power to about 600 members who were without service after the storms.

Major damage was reported at the Moors Resort and Marina boat docks in Marshall County, with a survey team determining an EF1 tornado struck that area. Significant damage was also reported in Livingston County, including a mobile home destroyed near Smithland and windows blown out of businesses in downtown Salem.

Hopkins County Emergency Management reported downed power lines and trees around the county, but no injuries.
As previously reported, two EF1 tornadoes and severe storms with straight-line winds of 90 and 100 mph caused damage to approximately 20 homes and downed dozens of trees in Christian County Friday night. Homes were also damaged Friday night in Todd and Trigg counties and there were widespread power outages.
