The Tennessean reports Vanderbilt University announced a series of renovations for Vanderbilt Stadium, Memorial Gym and Hawkins Field today.
Athletic director Malcom Turner said in a news release, Vanderbilt Stadium’s video board in the south end zone will be removed, and the video board in the north end zone will be replaced with “a cutting-edge board with a sharper and brighter image.
Renovations to the restrooms will also begin soon at the football stadium as part of a series of enhancements to address fans’ complaints about the poor game day experience.
Memorial Gym will get new state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems and renovations are planned for the basketball locker rooms. Hawkins Field will get a new artificial turf playing surface and upgrades to the scoreboard following the baseball season.
