The 33rd class of Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County graduated Thursday morning at Hopkinsville Community College.
The 24 members of the 2018-19 class received their diplomas; with class speaker Robin Tabor saying they formed lifelong bonds over the last several months.
This year’s Sherry Jeffers Spirit of Leadership Award was presented to Bradford Carroll of Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority by Dustin Gilbert, who served with Candra Barnett as program coordinators.
Each leadership class presents a $1,000 grant to a local non-profit organization and Danielle Grace of Sanctuary, Inc. says the Canton Pike Neighborhood Association was chosen this year for a bicycle park that’ll be constructed this summer.
The class project was major improvements at the Trail of Tears Park, including work on sidewalks outdoors and improvements inside the cabin.
