The fight over the controversial finish of the Kentucky Derby has moved to federal court. The co-owners of disqualified Derby runner Maximum Security have filed suit against Kentucky Horse Racing Commission and the three steward panel that oversaw the race. Owners Gary and Mary West are asking for the disqualification to be reversed and Maximum Security to be named the winner of the Kentucky Derby.
