Two suspects charged in HPD officer shooting indicted federally

The two male suspects facing local charges in relation to the robbery that led to the shooting of Officer Jeremy Davidson in February are now facing additional federal charges.

According to a news release, Keith Kuzyk and Anthony Johnson, both of Clarksville, were indicted by a federal grand jury in a five count indictment tied to the February carjacking that occurred in Hopkinsville. Kuzyk and Johnson have both been charged with carjacking. The Grand Jury also charged Kuzyk with the use, carry and discharge of a semiautomatic pistol, during the carjacking.

Johnson is also charged with the use, carry and brandish of a semiautomatic rifle, during and in relation to a crime of violence.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Seth Hancock and continues to be investigated by multiple agencies. The two men still face charges locally in Christian Circuit Court—Kuzyk is charged with two counts of attempted murder, wanton endangerment, first-degree robbery and multiple other offenses.  Johnson is charged is charged with first-degree robbery, fleeing or evading police and felony receiving stolen property.

Also in the local jail is Autumn Neblett and September Neblett, who are both charged with first-degree robbery and felony receiving stolen property.  Autumn Neblett is additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Officer Davidson was treated and released from Skyline Medical Center for gunshot wounds to the head and arm.
