The Ohio Valley League has released the 2019 regular season schedule. The Hoptown Hoppers will open the season on Friday May 31st hosting the Madisonville Miners and playing their first road game the following night, Saturday June 1st at the Fulton Railroaders.
The new franchise in the league, the Franklin Duelers, will make their first appearance in Hopkinsville on Sunday June 2nd.
The OVL will play a 40-game season capped by playing three rounds of the best two out of three series to crown a post season tournament champion. Game three of the Championship series is scheduled for Sunday August 4th.
The league will take each Monday as an off day for the entire league. In addition, one club will have a day off each playing day. That day off will rotate throughout the season. Each 9th playing day will be a day off for the club with minor exceptions. There will also be no OVL All Star game this season.
Home games played Tuesday thru Saturday will start at 7:05 PM local time except Paducah which will start at 6:30 PM. Sunday games will start at 6:05 PM except Muhlenberg County. Those games will start at 7:05 PM.
