A man was found shot to death in a car on State Line Road south of Allensville in Todd County Sunday afternoon.
First responders and EMS were dispatched to a car on the side of the road just north of KY 848 with an unresponsive male inside just before 5 p.m., according to emergency radio traffic, which indicated attempts to save his life with CPR were unsuccessful.
It was determined the man had been shot and Kentucky State Police and Todd County Coroner Timothy Wells were called to the scene.
A nearby resident spoke to WHOP News at the scene and said he heard the gunshots and multiple suspects fleeing the area.
He says his wife saw a vehicle that appeared to be black or dark green soon after the shots were heard.
Kentucky State Police has not released any information on the incident.
Wells says the victim’s body has been transported to Louisville for autopsy.
The Todd County Sheriff’s Department, Allensville Volunteer Fire Department and Todd County Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
