The Madisonville Miners will have a new head coach for the 2019 season. Joe Hernandez will come to the Ohio Valley League from the Utica (NY) Blue Sox of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League. The Blue Sox were 25-21 this past season under Hernandez. Hernandez replaces Franklin Bush, who led the Miners to a 14-27 record this past season. The Miners were eliminated in the opening round of the OVL playoffs by the Hoptown Hoppers two games to none.
