One of four former Crofton volunteer firefighters charged with arson entered a guilty plea in Christian Circuit Court Friday to his role in the burning of a vacant building on eclipse weekend last year.
Dylan Hodge entered a guilty plea to second-degree facilitation to arson, amended down from second-degree arson, to Judge John Atkins who accepted his plea.
The deal comes with a five-year sentence to be diverted for five years probation and he will have to pay restitution to the victims. Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Maggie Gigandet says Hodge will also have to testify in the trial taking place Monday for his co-defendants, former Crofton fire chief Jeremy Marlar and Glen McGee.
The fourth defendant in this case, Dakota Oglesby, had his case severed from the rest due to health issues with his attorney, and does not go to trial Monday.
The remaining three are charged with second-degree arson, Oglesby and McGee with second-degree burglary and McGee and Marlar with first-degree official misconduct.
