Two people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Allensville Street in Elkton Tuesday evening.
Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy Kenrick Harris stopped 29-year old Hailey Ann Brothers of Elkton just before 6:30 p.m. after seeing that her passenger—26-year old Robert Sargent of Elkton—was not wearing a seat belt. A computer check showed Sargent was wanted on a warrant out of Logan County for failing to appear in court.
A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a baggie of marijuana and a bottle of pills containing Xanax.
Sargent was served with the warrant and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and Brothers was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, prescription pills not in the proper container and failure to have proof of insurance.
