Christian County High School announced hirings today for its cross country and tennis programs along with a couple of football hires.
Ken Harrison will become the new cross country coach. He brings a wealth of experience having coached 15 years at Graves County and spent last year as head coach at Trigg County. He talks about his plans for the program:
Dennis Wells was named the new head coach of the Colonel and Lady Colonel tennis programs. The Mt. Sterling native retired last year after 25 years in the US Army and also spent time as head tennis coach at East Side High School in Gainesville, FL. Wells talks about his goals for the program:
A coach who is no stranger to the success of Christian County’s football program is returning for his second stint. John Adams will take over as Colonels offensive coordinator:
Adams left the Colonel program several years ago to be head coach at Heath High School and also spent time as an assistant coach at McCracken County High School.
Damien Leavell will be taking over the Christian County Middle School football program after serving the last two seasons as a varsity assistant:
Leavell will continue to assist the varsity on Friday nights during the season and will continue his duties as assistant wrestling coach.
