Two wanted on warrants facing new drug-related charges

Two Hopkinsville residents wanted on warrants are facing new drug-related charges after an investigation on East Seventh Street early Saturday morning.

Officers went to a 700 East Seventh apartment to arrest 50-year old Donnie Mudd on a warrant for failing to appear in court to face previous methamphetamine and marijuana charges.

They located him and 32-year old Amber Ramey, who was wanted for contempt of court and for failing to appear.

A search warrant was executed and police say they found a syringe loaded with a substance appearing to be meth in front of where Mudd was sitting. Plastic baggies and digital scales were located in Mudd’s room, according to the report.

Sixteen used syringes were reportedly found in Ramey’s room

Both suspects were served with the warrants and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and Mudd is additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine.
