The Hopkinsville-Christian County Human Relations Commission is inviting everyone to celebrate Women’s History Month during the month of March.
The commission will be awarding the Fannie Bronson Postell Woman of the Year Award March 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium building of Hopkinsville Community College. The national theme is “Nevertheless She Persisted: Honoring Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women”. According to a news release, it pays tribute to women who have shaped America’s history and its future through their tireless commitment to ending discrimination against women and girls.
Along with the Woman of the Year Award, they will also announce the winner of the Women Educating Women Award Scholarship.
