Community Confetti Initiative invites folks to upcoming informational meeting

The Community Confetti Initiative launched in May, and on August 6, the nonprofit’s leaders are hosting an informational meeting where the community can learn more about their mission.

The initiative was established to uplift teenagers in the community by providing resources to help them celebrate special occasions such as birthdays and holidays. Heather Gray and Sabrina Davis co-founded the initiative, and Shawna Major serves as the treasurer.

Gray says she is always looking for ways to support local youth, and decided to establish a nonprofit focused on teenagers, because many youth-related organizations only focus on younger children.

Gray says the nonprofit is set to meet with community partners who work with children and they will be tasked with sending the Community Confetti Initiative celebration support referrals.

Along with connecting with other organizations, Gray says they are planning to host an informational meeting on August 6, so community members can learn more about the nonprofit and its purpose. The meeting will be at the Christian County Sheriff’s Office at 5 p.m.

Gray says they are looking for volunteers and plan to host more informational sessions in the future. More information about the Community Confetti Initiative is available at communityconfettiinitiative.org.
