The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will need to close portions of two different highways this week to allow for oversized equipment through Hopkins County.
The Kentucky Municipal Energy Agency will close KY 70 between the Paducah and Louisville Railroad Depot and Pleasant View Road starting at 9 a.m. each morning this week. The massive equipment will then turn onto Pleasant View Road and head over to Bean Cemetery and AC Slaton Road to the job site.
The closure could last up to two hours, though could be shorter. The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department will be assisting with traffic control.
Motorists are welcome to seek alternate routes to avoid the closures.
