The Clarksville Police Department is investigating after a homeowner reportedly shot an intruder early Monday morning.
According to a news release, officers responded to Trenton Village in the 2700 block of Trenton Road for reports of a shooting that had already occurred. Preliminary investigation revealed that an individual had broken into the residence after 1 a.m., which is when the homeowner confronted him and fired her weapon.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was flown to a Nashville hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.
The investigation continues and at this time, all parties involved are cooperating with investigators. Anyone with additional information is asked to call detectives at 931-648-0656.
