University Heights Academy senior baseball player Ryan Luckey has committed to Brescia University.
The centerfielder/pitcher told WHOP Sports on Wednesday morning that he has recently committed to the Owensboro school and plans to sign his letter soon.
Luckey went 2-for-7 and scored six runs in the Touchstone Energy All “A” State Baseball Tournament last weekend. He was the winning pitcher in the 4-2 win over Beechwood in the championship game.
For the season, Luckey is hitting .380 with 19 hits, including five doubles, and 12 RBIs. On the mound, the right-hander is 3-0 with a 0.79 ERA. He has struck out 18 batters and only walked three.
