Hopkins Central rolls past University Heights Academy

Host Hopkins County Central scored 20 unanswered runs and routed University Heights Academy 20-2 Monday night in a high school softball game.

UHA got on the board in the top of the first inning on a two-run double by Madison Williams.

But the Storm offense took over from there with 11 hits. Hopkins Central also took advantage of five UHA errors.

The Storm scored five runs in the first and made the score 9-2 after two innings. A six-run third inning made it 15-2 and the hosts scored five in the fourth.

Gracie Ausenbaugh and Megan Long each had a single for the Lady Blazers.

UHA slipped to 4-7 on the season and will play at Heritage Christian Academy Thursday night.
