Despite some cold temperatures, runners, walkers and bicycle riders crowded downtown Hopkinsville for Parks and Recreation’s 23rd annual Turkey Trot.
The Turkey Trot started near Founders Square and took participants on a 3-mile route that concluded near the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library. Parks and Recreation Superintendent, Toby Hudson says they had a great turnout and possibly even more participants than last year.
For some families, Hudson says the Turkey Trot has become an annual tradition and after the run, they eat some food.
Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. Knight thanked Parks and Recreation for hosting the Turkey Trot and the citizens who showed up and participated.
