Christian Way Farm invites community to annual Easter egg hunt

Once the cold weather rolls around Christian Way Farm closes to the public, but now that spring has sprung, farm Co-Owner Janie Corley is inviting the community to their seasonal reopening and annual Easter egg hunt.

The farm is a family-friendly place where folks can feed farm animals, play mini-golf, grab a meal at their café and more.

Corley says they hosted their inaugural egg hunt around a decade ago and the tradition started on a whim with just a few dozen plastic eggs hidden around the farm, and now they are planning on having around 10,000 eggs hidden on the farm throughout the hunt.

After the first year of hosting the hunt, Corley says she remembers receiving a call from a mother asking if they were planning on doing the hunt again to which she said, “yes” and since then the hunt has grown each year.

This year, Corley says the eggs hidden across the farm will be empty, children will be given buckets to collect the eggs and will receive a goody bag with candy. Corley says they are operating the hunt in this fashion to give all children a fair chance to get candy.

Corley says attendees can also enjoy the farm’s typical activities while they search for eggs. The Easter Egg Hunt kicks-off at 10 a.m. and will run through 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, more information about the farm is available at christianwayfarm.com
