A woman was badly injured in a dog attack in Hopkinsville Monday afternoon.
The female victim in her 40’s was attacked by a dog on Dogwood Drive in Hopkinsville and had to be transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for what are described as severe injuries by Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Lt. Payton Rogers.
It happened around 2 p.m. The dog was shot by officers on scene to stop the attack and died of its injuries.
