Man facing multiple charges after alleged assault, pursuit

A local man is facing several charges after allegedly leading police on a pursuit following a domestic assault at a Julien Road home.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Andy Sanderson says they were called to a home in the 7000 block of Julien Road about 6 a.m. and learned 36-year old Jeremy Etheridge of Hopkinsville had already fled the scene.

A low-speed pursuit of Etheridge began and went onto the Eagle Way Bypass before turning on Cadiz Road. Etheridge eventually drove all the way back to the home on Julien Road, where he was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), fleeing or evading police and disregarding a traffic control device.

The victim in the case was treated by EMS, but did not require a trip to the hospital.
