A Cadiz man sought on a warrant for assault and strangulation was arrested Sunday night in Hopkinsville following a vehicle pursuit.
A Hopkinsville police officer attempted to stop 27-year old Donald Bacon of Cadiz after observing him allegedly speeding through a parking lot at East Fourth and South Virginia Street and then crossing two lanes of traffic without using a turn signal.
An incident report says Bacon refused to stop when the officer activated his lights and siren and he allegedly disregarded two red lights and seven stop signs.
The pursuit was eventually terminated, but Bacon was located later in the evening at an Aspen Drive home, where he was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police, reckless driving and several other violations.
He was also served with the warrant for second-degree strangulation and two counts of fourth-degree assault.
It alleges that on December 17, 2021, Bacon punched and choked a male victim and grabbed a woman by her ankles and attempted to drag her out of a house.
