Trial was postponed Wednesday morning in Trigg Circuit Court for 60-year old Harold Jett of Illinois, who is accused in the October, 2021 beating death of 71-year old Mary Dullenty at a home on Hilltop street in Cadiz.
Jett is represented by attorney Amy Martinez, who asked for trial to be postponed from August of this year until the fall of 2024.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Carrie Ovey-Wiggins said she was ready to proceed with trial as scheduled and doesn’t believe the case is too complicated.
Ultimately, Circuit Judge James Redd agreed to reschedule Jett’s trial for September 16, 2024.
