Two Madisonville men have been arrested on charges related to the Sunday shooting death of 27-year-old Terrence Minor.
According to the Madisonville Police Department, officers responded to the Cross Creek Apartments around 3 p.m. Sunday for reports of shots fired and upon arrival found Minor deceased with a single gunshot wound to the chest. A witness told officers that Minor had come to the apartment to speak with her and was shot shortly after entering the residence.
During the investigation, officers conducted an interview with 21-year-old Raleigh Lamar of Madisonville, who allegedly admitted to shooting the firearm that resulted in Minor’s death. Further investigation determined that firearm was removed from the apartment prior to police arrival, and 20-year-old Quortez Greenwood of Madisonville reportedly told them he was trying to help his friend out and had hidden the weapon.
Lamar and Greenwood were arrested, with Lamar charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and Greenwood charged with tampering with physical evidence.
