The COVID-19 positivity rate continues to drop in Kentucky as it fell nearly 5 points from last week.
The positivity rate is at 11.96 percent in Monday’s report, down from 16.29 percent the week before—there were 9,159 new COVID cases reported, along with 80 new deaths. That brings the death toll in the Commonwealth up to 16,902 since the pandemic began, approaching another grim milestone.
There are currently 456 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 75 in the ICU and 29 on a ventilator. Christian and Todd counties remain ‘green’ on the community spread level map, while Trigg stayed ‘yellow’.
