Trial coming up in June for McHenry St. murder case

Both sides are gearing up for trial in the murder case against Robert Torian, who is charged in the 2019 fatal shooting death of Terrill Moore and appeared in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday.

He appeared alongside attorneys Jason Byrd and James Chamberlain, who informed the court that they’ve been going through an extensive preparation process with their client and intend to ask for a few final pieces of evidence.

Judge Andrew Self agreed to set a motion filing deadline in the case, setting it for May 27, with trial set to begin on June 6.

The original arrest warrant from Hopkinsville police says Torian and Moore had been in an argument while both were passengers in a vehicle on McHenry Street in August of 2019. Torian was in the back seat when he exited, opened the front passenger door and allegedly shot Moore in the head.
