KYTC: School bus driver injured in Saturday night accident on I-24 in Marshall County

A school bus driver was reportedly injured in an accident Saturday night on I-24 in Marshall County.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says it happened just west of the I-69 interchange near Calvert City and it involved the school bus and a tractor-trailer.

Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd said the bus driver was the only injury reported in the crash that closed the westbound lanes for approximately two hours.

Elsewhere, a cattle truck crashed on US 641 North between Eddyville and Fredonia last night and while none of the steers escaped, it took a while to offload them onto another truck to clear the highway.

There were no immediate reports of injuries in that accident.
