A Clarksville man was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Poplar Street Friday after he attempted to avoid hitting a dog.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, 60-year-old Anthony Foti of Clarksville told officers he was heading down Poplar Street around noon Friday on a moped when a dog ran into his path and he slammed his brakes, losing control of the moped and hitting his head on the pavement.
He was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with a head injury and a possibly broken leg.
Foti was later cited for driving on a suspended license.
