We told you earlier this week about the possibility of adding an additional round before the KHSAA State Golf tournament. The KHSAA Board of Control in its Wednesday meeting passed a measure calling for what will be known as the State First Round beginning this fall. There will be three State First Rounds as only 12 of the 16 regions play golf. Each First Round site will have 80 golfers with 30 to advance to the state tournament.
