The Thanksgiving holiday travel period puts extra traffic on roads and Kentucky State Police are hoping motorists make good decisions before getting on the highway.
Trooper Corey King says wear your seat belt, slow down and most importantly—never drink and drive.
KSP will be focusing patrols on high collision areas and utilizing safety checkpoints.
Trooper King says driving while fatigued isn’t talked about a lot, but can also be very dangerous.
Local law enforcement agencies will also be out in full force and utilizing checkpoints to stop and arrest anyone driving impaired.
