Even though Kentucky is not playing this week, head coach Mark Stoops has received a midseason honor. Stoops was named as the SEC’s Midseason Coach of the Year by the Associated Press. The Wildcats are off to a 6-1 start including wins over Florida and LSU. UK was also selected as the most surprising team in the SEC to this point by the AP writers who cover the league. Kentucky returns to action next Saturday at Mississippi State.
