Kentucky State Police arrested a Florida man last Sunday morning following a multi-county pursuit that began in Lyon County.
According to a news release, troopers were asked to be on the lookout for a 2016 Subaru Cross Trac vehicle that had been stolen out of Iowa and was traveling east on I-24. Troopers spotted a vehicle matching that description in the area of the 36-mile marker and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver allegedly accelerated in an attempt to flee.
The pursuit continued through Lyon and Caldwell counties and continued into Trigg county before a tire deflation device was successfully deployed, ending the pursuit.
The driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old DeAndre Bolton of Tampa, Florida, was taken into custody without further incident and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, fleeing or evading police, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic violations.
