For the third year running, the Cynclaire Ruby Rogers Annual Charity Softball Tournament will take place the weekend of July 24, to raise funds and awareness for suicide prevention in her memory.
The two-day tournament set for July 24 and July 25 will take place on the field adjacent from the playground at Ruff Park—there will be signage pointing participants in the right direction. Organizer David Chase says they still have three spots available and they’re looking for teams to fill them, all in the name of a good cause. The donation cost to participate in the fundraiser, is $150 and the best way to sign up is to contact Chris Parker at 270-881-2255 or David Chase at 270-985-0463.
The tournament, and the foundation that hosts it, were created in memory of 15-year old Cynclaire Ruby Rogers, who lost her life to suicide in May of 2019—the mission is to continue to raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health in her name and memory.
