U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Bowling Green is hopeful for a bi-partisan compromise on a federal infrastructure bill and says the key is settling on a suitable definition of what exactly infrastructure includes.
Most of all, Senator Paul says any funding for infrastructure should go to restoration and construction of roads and bridges.
He’d like to see a compromise that doesn’t increase the government’s overall spending.
Senator Paul isn’t opposed to the bill including funds for broadband expansion, so long as it happens in areas that currently lack access to a high-speed internet connection.
