Imagination Library Jeepin’ For Literacy fundraiser is Saturday

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Imagination Library is hosting a Jeepin’ For Literacy fundraiser event on Saturday and people are still invited to sign-up.

Imagination Library Coordination Meghan Marsh appeared WHOP recently and says you don’t have to have a Jeep to take part, but it does need to be a vehicle that can handle off-road driving—the event will start on that Bruce Convention Center Holiday Inn parking lot, where participants can get maps and other information.

Part of the reason for that is because they plan to take trails at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park, along with stopping at several local venues for refreshments, before ending at M.B. Roland.

The event begins at noon Saturday. There will be a raffle that evening with multiple prizes up for grabs, thanks to the generosity of the community, including tickets to Holiday World, Tie Breaker Park, passes to Hoptown Hopper games, water bottles and hats and much more.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a free program to any child, birth to 5 years old. Enrollment in the program provides an age appropriate book that is delivered to the child’s home each month and is designed to inspire early learning through reading.
