Man flown to Vandy after leg caught in auger in Todd County

A man was flown to a Nashville hospital after his lower leg was caught in an auger in North Todd County Monday morning.

It happened at a location on Skipworth Road near the Muhlenberg County line and Todd County Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith says the migrant worker was flown by PHI to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Smith says the man was using a sweep auger to clean the last corn out of a bin when it appears his pant leg got caught and pulled him into the auger.

His name has not been released.
