The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports Adam Wainwright as saying he never thought he would be a rookie again when appearing on the National League Division Series between Atlanta and Miami as an analyst for Fox Sports. During the telecast, Wainwright was asked about plans for 2021 and he stated he would either be pitching or in a broadcast booth.
Wainwright has said he would prefer to pitch next season if the Cardinals want him. He just finished a one year, incentive laded contract. He went 5-3 with a 3.15 earned run average this season.
