The Christian County Health Department is reporting 15 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and seven patients currently hospitalized.
That’s according to the expanded update provided Wednesday, which shows that 15 new cases puts the overall total locally at 995—of that, 248 cases are considered active and 733 individuals have recovered from the illness. Broken down in to age groups there have been 193 cases in the pediatric age group, 594 in the young adult to middle aged grouping, 168 among older adults and 40 in the elderly age group.
Between the health department and Jennie Stuart Health 15,840 tests have been performed locally—Jennie Stuart currently has seven COVID positive patients hospitalized, along with one pending results.
Christian County has seen 14 COVID-19 related deaths.
