An investigation by Hopkinsville police on South Kentucky Avenue early Friday morning led to the arrest of a man for burglary and other charges.
An arrest citation says 23-year old Jonathan McDonald of Hopkinsville entered a home in the 100 block of South Kentucky without permission and assaulted a male inside. McDonald had been previously warned by police to stay away from the home.
HPD located McDonald walking in the area and he allegedly gave false names and then attempted to run away before being arrested.
McDonald is charged with second-degree burglary, fleeing or evading police, giving an officer a false name and public intoxication.
