Some not happy with plans for new practice facility for Austin Peay

The Leaf Chronicle reports most of the indoor athletic facility announced by Austin Peay earlier this week will be completed by mid-August. However, some in the tennis community in Clarksville are upset the school is turning the current tennis complex into an all sport practice facility. The Clarksville facility is currently the only indoor tennis facility outside of Nashville. Meanwhile, Austin Peay athletic director Gerald Harrison says the new practice facility will not be as some are calling it “a football shrine.” He says the new facility is not just for football, calling it a transformative moment for Austin Peay athletics.
