There were another 319 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kentucky from Friday to Saturday and four additional deaths—including a Logan County resident.
The office of Governor Andy Beshear says 65 percent of those new cases are in Jefferson County and the total number of cases is now at 11,287. One of the new fatalities was a 70-year old woman from Logan County.
The governor says “The virus is still out there. I know we’re tired. I know we all just want to have a normal summer. But we’ve already saved so many lives as Team Kentucky and we can’t let up now.”
State officials say 470 Kentuckians have died from the virus and 3,344 patients have recovered.
