Coach Eddie Sutton died Saturday at his home in the Tulsa area at age 84. Sutton replaced Joe B. Hall as the Kentucky head coach in 1985, winning two SEC championships and compiling a 90-40 record. He resigned in 1989 after the NCAA announced 18 alleged violations against the school in 1988. Sutton was the first coach to take four different universities to the NCAA tournament, including three Final Four appearances. He also coached at Creighton, Arkansas, Oklahoma State and San Francisco. He will be an inductee into the Basketball Hall of Fame later this year.
