There were no changes in the number of cases of COVID-19 in Christian County from Wednesday to Thursday, which makes two days in a row of no new cases.
That’s according to the Christian County Health Department Thursday update, which shows the number of cases maintaining at 97, with 14 cases considered ‘active’ and 80 people recovered from the virus. Breaking those active cases down into age categories, there is one in the pediatric age group, six in the young adult to middle aged adult group, seven in the older adult category and none in the elderly age group.
The health department has three testing sites available in the county, including at Tie Breaker Park Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until 11. The Oak Grove site is at 1705 Thompsonville Lane and will be open May 19 and May 26 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and the South Clay Street site will be open May 18 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Anyone who wants to get tested, can.
