Two Hopkinsville men were shot and killed in Elizabethtown Wednesday and police there continue to investigate.
According to a news release from the Elizabethtown Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting on Patterson Street where three people had sustained gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, 32-year old Shawn Fox and 37-year old Michael Buckner Thomas, both of Hopkinsville, were found deceased inside a vehicle. A female in the vehicle was transported the University of Louisville Hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.
Investigation determined the shooting occurred at a nearby apartment complex and the female victim was able to drive to a nearby home on Patterson for help. The investigation continues and officers are currently following leads.
