An arrest was made following a shots fired incident Wednesday afternoon in Elkton.
Elkton police responded to the 200 block of Streets Avenue about 4:40 p.m. and learned a group of people had come to that location to allow two females to fight over an unknown grievance, according to a news release.
During the altercation, 22-year old Derrick Reynolds of Hopkinsville allegedly fired two shots into the air from a 9mm handgun.
They then fled the scene and Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy Mitch Frazier located the vehicle on KY 181 near South Todd Elementary School.
Reynolds was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
Elkton Police Officer Josh Corn and Trenton Police Chief Henry Hamlet assisted with the traffic stop, according to Elkton Chief Robert Toombs.
